Liberty Square is a nice urban park with a claim to fame being the Fort Sumter visitors center. In the Square you'll find a pavilion with seating, a fountain, and many trees. The ferry departure area is also nearby. At the visitors center …
• We visited on a Sunday morning during winter break (Christmas eve) in Dec 2023.
• Parking was easy as we arrived around 8:50 AM and we had our pick of street …
Cute area with ample shade and access to a few good things to do like muesem and boat tours to historic sites. Fountains and Waterviews.
Great experience at the SC Aquarium!!!! A must to visit....we were able to touch the baby sharks (they were kinda leopard print and about a little over a foot long...felt like sandpaper), starfish, stingray and sea urchins!! It costs $59.90 …
It’s an alright place. There is certainly liberty here. I’m more skeptical of the claim that it is a square. Seems like more of a rectangle to me but I suppose that ain’t none of my business. Come here if you’re looking for liberty. Don’t …
I was there as a part of my trip to fort Sumter , beautiful view and an nice experience
This is actually White Point Garden not Liberty Square. A beautiful peaceful park by the water. There are also statues of various people there.
The history and exhibits are well written here. Enjoyed the 30-min ferry ride over to Fort Sumter. You get to see the shorelines, islands, bridges, Charleston peninsula, lighthouse from a distance, several fort locations, the aircraft …
It's such a neat place with history. We did the fort sumpter tour and it was great. I wish it was a little cheaper than $30 a person. The tour guide should have said something when were there instead of just when we are on the boat.
We spent some time here, though we were too late to make the ferry out to Fort Sumter itself. Plenty of historical info available anyway, and the aquarium (which we didn't go to) is next door. There are also some nice views of the bay.
